Alexandra Patsavas Hard At Work On 'Breaking Dawn Pt 1' Soundtrack

Of course, all the crucial castmembers are returning to the Bill Condon-directed “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1” that’s hitting theatres Nov. 18 (with Part 2 arriving a year later, Nov. 16, 2012).

But there’s another, less-trumpeted recurring star that fans should really be celebrating: Alexandra Patsavas, who’s again overseeing the film’s soundtrack, which hits stores through Summit Entertainment, Chop Shop and Atlantic this Nov. 8.

The tracklisting will be coming shortly, but — judging by the past three anthologies, which have sold a combined 7.5 million copies and remained in the Billboard Top 100 Soundtracks chart since their release — it should not only accentuate key Bella/Edward scenes, but be equally enjoyable on standalone merits.

Who, exactly, is Patsavas?

She started in showbiz with no less than Roger Corman, and to date has utilized her music-supervision skills in over 60 films and TV series, like “The O.C.,” “Gossip Girl” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” where her placement of Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars” helped break the Irish outfit in America.
