Young Kristen Stewart won over future agent with dreidel song
Kristen Stewart landed her talent agent after impressing him with a "serious dreidEl song" during a "forced" school performance when she was eight years old.
The actress, now 21, admits she did not want to take part in the variety show and ended up having to sing a mundane tune about the traditional Jewish spinning top most associated with the Hanukkah holiday - but it was enough to grab the attention of a talent scout watching from the audience. She tells W magazine, "It's weird, because I would be the last person in my school to be in plays, but I was forced to sing a song in a school thing. I sang a dreidel song, which is funny for me. I've never celebrated Hanukkah - it wasn't in my upbringing, but it was one of those deals where everybody has to pick a song or participate somehow in the chorus. It wasn't the normal dreidel song; I can't really remember the words, but it was a more serious dreidel song.Monday, August 22, 2011
Kristen Stewart Quotes and Fun Facts
Kristen Stewart is known for her role as Bella in the Twilight series. The following is a look at the actress as well as her thoughts on acting and Twilight.
Quote on Twilight: "I feel like maybe I brought too much of myself to the character."
Fun fact: Kristen Stewart graduated from high school the week before she filmed a graduation scene for Eclipse so her graduation ceremony essentially took place when they were filming the movie.
Fun fact: The actress says musician Jenny Lewis is the only person she's met that she can't function around.
Quote on fame: "It bothers me that I can't be outside very often. And also to not ever be just 'some girl' again. Just being some chick at some place, that's gone."
Fun fact: Her favorite part of Twilight New Moon is the beginning.
Quote on her nerves: "I think it's funny that when I go onstage to accept an award, they think I'm nervous, uncomfortable, and awkward-and I am-but those are bad words for them."
Fun fact: The actress used to date actor Michael Angarano.
Quote on acting: "I'm not a performer, I can't do a song and dance for you, I don't like 'entertaining' people, that's not why I do it. -- In terms of creative outlets and expressing yourself, it's just the most extreme version of that that I've ever found. It's like running, it's exertion. When you reach that point where you can't go anymore and you stop and you take a breath, it's that same sort of clearing of the mind."

Imogen Poots Talks About Robert and Kristen
Poots, though, believes there's room for both kinds of coffin-dwellers: those who sparkle in the sunshine and those who burst into flame. "I've seen (the Twilight movies). I think (Kristen Stewart) and (Robert) Pattinson are awesome. I haven't read the books, but it's a franchise that's really relevant to my generation. You've got to embrace it."
Fright Night, she adds, goes "back to the original form of what it means to people. It's a malleable form. You can adjust the form of the vampire to suit your type of film.
"Twilight has a different vampire than we have."
Maybe. But what the two creatures have in common is that Farrell is no less irresistible to the opposite sex than Pattinson.
